Becoming a client is easy…
We have an initial meeting, to discuss your requirements in detail and get to know your unique business. We will come to your offices or premises, if that suits you better. We are very flexible and can generally work around your systems/business and industry practices.
If low fees are important to you, we can discuss ways for you to lower fees, by doing some or all of your bookkeeping yourself or by making your bookkeeping more efficient. We can usually spot some easy ways to save both time and money with your bookkeeping and accounts.
If you would prefer not to have to think about the nuts and bolts of your bookkeeping and accounts and just hand over all of your paperwork, we can do everything on a monthly or quarterly basis on an on-going basis.
We can also do any kind of in-between combination. Not all businesses and organisations require all services. We’ll discuss with you what things could help you, the things you could do without and what things you might not need now, but would be worth considering for the future.
We do not do “hard-sell” (in fact, quite the opposite) and the initial consultation is completely free and without any obligation.
If all is well, we will issue a letter of engagement for you to sign and carry out an ID check for anti-money laundering reasons. (All businesses working in the financial, accounting & bookkeeping sector are required to do this by law).
If you are geographically distant, we may conduct meetings by telephone or online instead of meeting in person.
If you are transferring to us from another accountant, we will write to that accountant as a matter of professional courtesy and to request important handover information. This also ensures the handover is as smooth as possible.
Working with Tax Accountants and Auditors
Occasionally, a client retains a tax accountant or auditor for compliance work and uses our services for day to day bookkeeping, VAT, management accounts and/or financial management.
In this instance we also work with and liaise with the accountant/auditor, as necessary.
